What Is An ISO File and How Do You Open It Quickly

In this article, we are going to investigate ISO files. We will talk about what an ISO file is and the quickest way to open an ISO file. There is a one method that is quicker than all of the others.

I just sat down at my computer to watch a movie that I have in.ISO format. As you may or may not know, the .ISO format is known as an image file. These .ISO files contain an exact image of what is found on a DVD.

Most of the time the .ISO file will have an exact replica of the contents of a DVD. However, in today’s world, we have two DVD formats: DVD5 and DVD9. Most of today’s DVD Movies New Releases come in DVD9, the newer format which contains much more data than DVD5. When people want to copy DVD to DVD, they need to shrink the data from DVD9 size down to DVD 5 size because most people do not have DVD9 DVD burners.

Thus, even though we say that an .ISO image is an “exact” replica of the original, it’s often not. If you have downloaded something-especially a newer movie-there is a good chance that that movie has been compressed to fit on a DVD5 disc.

When most people download an .ISO file, they think that they have to burn it to a DVD. This makes sense if you want to watch the movie on your home theater system. But it seems like a waste, doesn’t it? You might just watch a movie one time so burning it to a blank DVD is a waste of time and also a waste of the blank DVD.

So, there is a much better way to do this. I’ll tell you how you can watch an .ISO file directly on your computer or even watch it on your home entertainment system. In this way, you do not waste the time burning the DVD nor do you waste the blank DVD.

So, how do you open an .ISO file on your computer without burning it to a DVD?

Well, when you search the Internet for how to open an .ISO file, you will find many tools that will allow you to open an .ISO file and view the contents of the file. For example, you will read that a program called WinRAR can open an .ISO file. In fact, it can and it does a very good job at it (I have it installed on my machine). WinRAR allows you to see the data within the .ISO file and then you need a program that mounts the .ISO file so that your computer will see it as a DVD drive, even though it’s actually in a file. Many people use a free product called Daemon Tools to mount the DVD and watch on their computer.

But there is even a much better way to do this and it’s much easier and quicker.

You can use the VLC Media Player to open .ISO movie files directly and watch them on your computer. There is no “extracting” or “mounting” that needs to be done by you. You simply open the file within VLC as you would any file. It’s very easy!

Now, suppose that you want to watch this .ISO file on your television. How would you go about doing that? That’s not hard either. if you use Windows Vista Basic and you compare it to the ultimate version or the premium or ultimate 7 version you will notice that, your title bars and task bar ins’t see through (transparent)

well in order to fix this you could download window blinds… but why bother paying good money for something your only going to use every now and again

so download a vista theme patcher (these are free)

then download the windows 7 theme or the steel flash 100k theme or go 1 further and download the windows 8 professional theme (warning you will need to download Winrar) after you have the theme you want, just apply it

i will have you know that not all themes that look transparent in their preview will actually be transparent wen you apply them

but the 3 i mentioned maintain all aspects of see through-ness

one more thing… if you have run the theme patcher, you will need to restart your computer before you apply the new theme

there are other ways to give you the look of 7, but i wouldn’t recommend using upgrade packs full stop, these mess with you system and can destroy your computer. I would recommend using a “theme pack”

for example… the 7 heme pack comes with the theme and also small things to make your vista computer look like 7, such as iconized task bar, and patchers to make little things feel like 7

the 8 theme pack comes with the theme plus several tweaks to make you vista computer look like a devil, this includes ViGlance, this is the windows 7 feature but, it works just as well on vista

dont be taken in by transformation packs, the mess a computer up bad

4 Quick Tips To Use The R4 Card

Since my articles about the R4 Card have started to appear online, I have received numerous emails asking me to explain exactly how the R4 Card works. And just general tips and hints from people that already have their R4 Card Units. In an effort to try and help everyone at large, I have put together 4 quick beginners tips for the R4 Card and explain how you first set it up once you receive the R4 Card in your hanCard.

This is not meant at all to be a comprehensive review of the R4 Card Flash card for the Nintendo Card. There are several online reviews of this item (some by myself, and many by others) that can cover the innner workings and the full feature set of the unit. This is meant simply as a very fast, 5 step quick start guide for those that have received their R4 Card, and want to know, step by step, what they have to do next.

1. The very first thing you have to do is to download the firmware for the R4 Card. You can find this at the official R4 Card website. Just go to the website address listed on the back of your R4 Card Box and enter that website address into your browsers address bar, and you’ll be taken to the official R4 Card Website. You need to have the firmwar file because this will be the very first thing you’re going to copy onto the microSD Card that you’ll use with your R4 Card.

In case you don’t have it already, you’ll also need to go and download WinRar from rarlabs.com as the files required are compressed with the WinRar software. It’s a shareware program that you can download and use without limitation – except for the nag screen asking you to pay for the software.

2. Once you have downloaded the file (and made sure to note where you saved this files) you need to un-compress it using the above mentioned WinRar software. It will create a new folder on your desktop and in that folder will be all of the files you will need. You then need to take these R4 Card firmware / menu system files and copy the entire contents of that folder onto the microSD card that you’ll be using with your R4 Card. Once you have copied these, you can rest assured that any other files you put on the microSD Card to be used with the R4 Card, will show up in a convenient and easy to navigate menu system.

3. Now, the fun part. You’ll have to go an download the games and applications that you want to use with your R4 Card. I say this is the fun part because there are literraly thousanCard of free homebrew games and applications available online. And, while I don’t condone it, even commercial Nintendo Card Roms that are the full games for Nintendo Card that you can now copy onto the MicroSD and play them from the R4 Card. Just do a quick google search for Nintendo Card homebrew or Nintendo Card Roms and you’ll find that there are hundreCard (if not thousanCard) of web sites that offer up the latest and greates games and applications for the R4 Card.

4. The last and final step is to simply plug the microsd card into the R4 Card and then take it and put it into your nintendo Card consoles. Once you have all of the files for the menus system and the games on the card, you then just have to plug it in and turn on your nintendo Card or dd lite. The NCard will not load the R4 Card card just as it would load a brand new card into the system memory. Once it has loaded it will display for you a menu system, with the GAME option being the very first option on that menu. You just need to press the A button or tap on it with your stylus and you’ll now see a list of the games and applications that you have on your R4 Card. Select the one you want to use / play and away you go. The R4 Card in a matter of just a few second will load up and play the file you have selected.

And that’s it. Just 4 quick and easy steps to go from receiving your R4 Card, to actually putting it into your Nintendo Card and playing anything and everything.
